Monsters Inc and The Feral Four

Events of 14th April 2015

I left yesterday's blog mentioning the really bad numbers of sending six back and coming home with nine. While there's kittens that need help, who am I to say no?

Now Introductions.

FERAL FOUR

I named them after the hunger games since they were all prepared to try and kill us in order to survive.

MARVEL
Marvel not happy to see me

FINNICK
Finnick could be the hardest to turn around,
he wants to put as much distance as he can between us.

RUE
I'm watching you ~ Rue
CLOVE
Clove is the one who's got the most talk but I feel she'll be the first to come around.
The tiny five took a little while to come up with names. One of the five has a deformed eye. If the one with the deformed eye had been male I'd have a smorgasbord of names to choose from. Since she's female there aren't very many female characters in movies or anything with only one eye.

Eventually I came across MONSTERS INC.

So I introduce...

CELIA MAE
Celia Mae inspiration for the theme of the group with her deformed eye.

SULLEY
Little Grumpy kitty Sulley. Reminds me of a friends cat so keep calling him Mini Nelson

RANDAL
What are these grabby things you keep picking me up with!? ~ Randal
ROZ
Little Roz. Adorable little pipsqueak
BOO
Boo
The group of five have still been vomiting. At loss as to why they keep doing that. Gave them chicken as something bland to give their tummies a rest.

Got the OK to take them in to the vets where they were put on Betamox and told to go back to the AD. Also advised to worm them again. Lets' hope this works.

Wormed the feral four. Man I felt horrible. Having little experience with semi ferals it was a steep learning curve that some do not freeze when restrained, some literally let out the most awful noise like they're being murdered at even the slightest form of restraint.
Somehow with a few battle scars on Dad's part we did get them wormed but next time I'm going to leave that duty to a vet so they can be the bad guys.

** Flashforward to 2016, as I'm adding photo's I'm becoming aware of the fact I really didn't get many pictures of their arrival, all were more the size of Roz**

On Wednesday the 22nd of April Zazee finally made the trip home. Thank flipping god. I mean she's a sweet cat but she's definitely not one to be cooped up inside. Her family were happy to have her back and now there's no worrying about her getting pregnant again.

I'll leave you with some pictures of the little monsters.

Sulley & Boo
Sulley (Mr Sulky) and Randal
Huddled in a bundle for group comfort away from the scary lady.
A few days later
MUM! You bring us food?Cuddles?
(Notice even Sulley is more to the front and not sulking)

  1. the monsters are cute.. and yes, ferals are often screamers.. I often have to remind myself that I'm not actually ripping their legs off when they start up.
