Grace And The Goodies

What was originally just a ride around the street with mum (still not allowed to drive yet) to pick up some supplies I ended up with a new mother cat and her three little newborn babies.
Meet Grace, such a beautiful mumma
Apparently she naturally gave birth to three babies but had to go in for an emergency spay to remove a fourth (so glad that didn't happen with Sugar).

Look how clever I am ~Grace
So strange being able to handle her babies when they're so tiny. Grace is protective but not to the same extent as Sugar and will let you handle the babies but is always hovering and gives you the 'alright put it back' look.

She has a much better human-cat experience and enjoys pats and loves to talk. Already I can see she's not as attentive with her kittens as Sugar but that is because Sugar doesn't really venture out to do anything unless absolutely necessary.

Things may be getting easier with her though. Pepper decided to explore the world outside his box today so we'll have little cottonball kittens playing in the cage and soon venturing far enough from Sugar that we can pick them up without having scratches.

When one toppled out the rest soon followed

The following morning after having Grace I found one thing I really appreciate about Sugar and one thing I really don't like with Grace.

Grace's litter habits leave a LOT to be desired. She poops in the tray fine. (charming conversation) But she decides to pee in her waterbowl. I can not for the life of me figure out why she comes to that conclusion that the clear liquid must be turned yellow....

*shakes head*

Loki's still bouncing around like an idiot. Trying to break his nursing habit but it may take a while. Cute to begin with but gets irritating. He doesn't nurse on fabric he tends to like nursing on skin. Weird cat.
