Sapphire & The Gems

Sapphire was the mother I was expecting to have next. She gave birth to three weenie babies on the 3rd of January 2015.
Pretty Sapphire just a baby herself
Sapphire is a pretty tortoiseshell and she's doing a wonderful job with her babies so far. The very sad part is that Sapphire is barely more than a kitten herself. She shouldn't have had to be a mother so young or at all.
Sapphire's little Gems
Her babies consist of a tortoiseshell and two buff kittens. One is a light ginger and white while the other is just ginger. Should make telling them apart easy.
Thankfully should be easy to tell apart
Even on the drive home I noticed something very strange with the little tortie babies breathing. It seemed that compared to her other two siblings that every breath was a struggle. She wheezed.
Worried about the little torti
I got the go ahead to take her in to the vets. Sadly the vets said there was likely something abnormal but when she wasn't even one week old there were no medications and no proper diagnosis on what was wrong with her.

Splenda, Honey and Graces' goodies were let out for a run around the lounge during the evening.
Oreo testing a career in Pole Dancing
KitKat is pretty and she knows it
TimTam preparing to be ambushed by another kitten
Splenda giving Dad some head bops.
Leo telling the kittens to "Back Off" (older pic from when Salt&Pepper were here)
Splenda finding a comfy spot for a nap
TimTam & Oreo passed out on Dad's Lap
Splenda and Honey with Mum.
Oreo has decided dad's lap is the place to be whenever play gets too rough for her.

Oreo in dreamland before any of the other kitties
Honey is still here due to a heavy workload the vets postponed her surgery so she may even go in next Tuesday where Splenda may be at a weight to join her.

Always prefers the arm of a chair to the lap of a human.
Such a beautiful girl.
