Sweet Goodbyes

Well its time to start saying goodbye to the first litter born here at The Legends.

Grace stayed back today 6th of Jan 2015. She is a beautiful cat, don't get me wrong, but I wish her future family luck as it seemed to be a constant battle to get her to use a litter tray for going to the toilet and not her water bowl.

Her babies could have had her around for another few weeks considering they were still reasonably young but they were doing fine on their own and I felt that maybe KitKat's eyes might stay clear if her mother wasn't tracking litter and who knows what else from one end of their cage to the other.

The boys Salt and Pepper also stayed behind to be booked in for their 'brain' surgery and were to be marked for a transfer to another shelter on Friday.

Cuddly kittens so different from their mother.

Honey is to go into surgery on Friday and to be picked up by the shelter staff from the vets once its done. From there she'll hit the adoption floors.

Splenda, due to her strange illness, will be here for another week. Considering there is another kitten at the shelter on the adoption floors that is blind we seem to have the deaf and the blind covered for this year. Would have been cute if they'd been adopted together being the eyes and ears for each other.

Word has it there may already be another mother with small babies born at the shelter that will be my next group.
